Knowledge of the Holy – Book Review

The Knowledge of the Holy by A.W. Tozer My rating: 4 of 5 stars Fair warning I am about to draw some odd similarities between authors. I have enjoyed H.P. Lovecrafts style of horror for sometime. Leaving the reader with a since of nihilism. This idea that we are so insignificant and that the things happening in the universe are so unknowable that upon knowing them you loose your mind.

Project management is a weird thing I tend to see projects from a developer stand point. How do I organize this project and gather as much information up front that I might empower my team to make decisions about the project? I think this way not because I am a great project manager, but because of my exposure to the kind of tasks my team is expected to preform. It is profoundly more complicated than …

Sweet Madness

This is sweet madness, how could such fortune beset us.

Love the Sinner Hate the Sin

There are two things that grieve me in the faith of those around me today. Some have taken the truth, that as a follower of Christ, is part of our treasure and hope, and turned it into hate by removing all trace of the precious love that calls us to Christ. The same has been done with the Love that gives us purpose. There is love preached from pulpits and in the street but there …

The Currency

Your money is not what you are spending Me and music go a long way back. I started in band my first year of middle school. The tryouts where interesting. All these stations where setup and you had to go try out an instrument to see if you liked it. I had already made up my mind about choosing the drums, well before I had entered the band room. I honed in on the drum …

Confetti Crash

The daylight flowed through the large windows of the air port. The blue sky framed the white clouds and planes that transversed its endless expanse. Loved ones lifted into the sky by air pressure and speed. There had been murmurings in the tabloids about a new weapon. The tabloids no one really listens to them. These murmurings were listed alongside new fresh sightings of bat boy which called all of the rumors into question. On …

Deb

Today I decided to drop in to my favorite gas station and pick up a Friday sweet cake and Starbucks cold frapachino. For months I had stopped in there and picked up a cup of their terrible coffee. The coffee was not the reason I stopped there. I stopped there because of an old delightful woman named Deb. We had become acquaintances and would spend 15 minuets talking about her grand children and my son …

Tammy Pusher sat staring longingly out of the window. The wind blew their tall grass in waves across the lawn. She always wanted a nice lawn but with everything she did with the kids she never had the time or energy. The trash sat overflowing in its can, just another thing that she did not have the energy to do. Nothing would please her more than to have someone cut her lawn and give her …

The Suite

Every morning I saw him. He would emerge out of the woods as naked as the day he was born…. except with more hair. He would stand there reluctantly as if he were waiting for the perfect moment. Then with a sigh and a look of mischief on his face he would raise his right hand and snap his fingers. From the trees and the woods they came squirrels all different colors and sizes. They …

Stressed

It had been “mid day” since I opened my eyes. I love the morning but mid day had over took the morning while riding a rocket made of large rat bones. It smelled like lemons. At work I had been chipping away at the solid block of obsidian that is my email when I found a client request with a deadline of today. I have always treated the people I manage with respect and kindness. …
