Oaks and Crape Myrtles

Oaks and Crape Myrtles Aaron Blakeley - Daily Haiku

I have considering my own feelings towards the current climate in the culture. So much information that you can’t trust. This world is so full of lies and misdirection that there is no way your children won’t fall for at least a few of the lies. I was walking this weekend and I came across the ruins of an old monument sign. I was brick and overgrown by tree and vines. The bricks were loose but still standing and the words that were on it had long since rusted away. The studs where they still existed but the letters were gone. I realized that this nature despite what we build always encroaches on us. We build a house and the trees break the foundation, or the rain washes the dirt from underneith it. Nature…

I am going to teach my children that the path through this world is thankfulness to God, knowing who he is, and treasuring him above all.
