People around me sit and talk kindly to each other with smiles and nods. They drink their coffee, some order it. My favorite coffee shop Bridge 281 happens around me Longview is happening around me, and I am happening to it. Lately, the world even my own personal one has been fraught with circumstances and decisions that break like waves. They get the white froth at the peak and then you can’t look away until they resolve on the beach. Here is the thing about waves, they never resolve, not really not ever. As long as the moon orbits the earth and the waves crash, there will always be enough energy and wind for more waves.
We all so desperately want the circumstances, pain, and everything terrible to stop. It never will not until we wipe out the moon which consequently would end life on this planet as we know it. That is the honest to goodness assessment. For all injustice, for all inequality to end for your personal circumstances to forever be finalized we all must die. There is another option though you might not like it or maybe you would.
I have heard it said, perhaps it was me that did, “Everyday is good. The question is am I good in it.” Waves peak they do and some of us surf on them. Some sit on the beach and let them wash over. Some are caught in the swell and choke. Some of us don’t get a choice. I would never presume to instruct humanity in how it might conduct itself. All I can say is that in your circumstance be good. God did not create evil, but he did create the potential for it. Free will is a funny thing, and it operates on a tiny section of life. Your free will acts only on your actions.
The moon orbits the earth and it’s gravity holds sway over the waves. In the waves, we are all rocked, inspired, choked, drowned and awed. The machinations of his reality are glorious and his penning of our story perfect. Every day is good will you be good in it.
